CASE STUDY
IRIQ offer a range of legal services in the areas of employment law, eLaw, human rights and anti-discrimination. Headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland, IRIQ Law is a firm that provides a high-caliber service.
The Challenge
IRIQ was growing rapidly. Their strategy was to expand in Brisbane and then other capital cities. This presented a challenge because the Intellectual Property (IP) that customers needed was in the hands of a few staff who largely managed their own documentation.
The Solution
Transfirm developed a ‘Hub’ that enabled staff to access controlled documents from anywhere with an internet connection. The IRIQ team then codified their knowledge into ‘master templates’ from which all other documents were produced. When the master was updated, the change would seamlessly deploy across all locations in a controlled way. This enabled new staff to have full access to the IP whenever they created a new document. Transfirm developed this solution using the cloud, saving IRIQ the cost for expensive IT infrastructure.
Critical Success Factors
The project’s success was largely due to frank and open collaboration between IRIQ and Transfirm. It enabled Transfirm to fully understand IRIQ’s needs and develop solutions that worked well for their staff.
The Goals
The goals were to reduce document search and production time by 80%. Transfirm set out to create a scalable document and IP management system that could be accessed from anywhere, with zero capital spend IT infrastructure.
The Process
The first step in the process was to gain a full understanding of IRIQ’s operations. We jointly ‘scoped’ the required changes and tested concept solutions. This was followed by implementation and testing, and finally training to enable IRIQ to administer their system internally.
The Results
The IRIQ Hub is now used throughout the business as the platform for managing operations and has allowed the business to focus on client needs and growth. Managing Director, Theresa Moltoni, estimates that production time decreased by 80%. The project reduced operating expenses which paid for the project in under 5 months and continues to provide cash-flow to grow the business.
